Job Title: Warehouse and Yard Material Handler

POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a Warehouse and Yard Material Handler, you will be responsible for preparing rental equipment orders for shipment and processing returns. You will load, unload, and transport materials within or near the plant, yard, or worksite using manual labor and lift trucks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interpret work and shipping orders, following verbal directions to locate products within the warehouse or rental yard.
- Efficiently load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, trays, racks, and shelves using forklifts, hand trucks, or manually.
- Secure materials in vehicles, utilizing strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Adhere to safe material handling practices while lifting or moving equipment and materials, as well as when directing movements.
- Affix identifying tags or labels to materials or packaging containers.
- Organize and stack materials and equipment into bundles, using banding, skids, and containers appropriately.
- Maintain cleanliness of products, materials, equipment, and yard areas to ensure a debris-free environment.
- Inspect and prepare products and equipment for re-stocking and re-rental by cleaning and repairing them to standard.
- Operate cleaning machinery and/or hand and power tools for renovations as needed.
- Keep accurate inventory counts and maintain the organization of inventory in a neat manner.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
