Overview:
The Warehouse Associate II plays a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction by accurately and efficiently fulfilling orders, handling the receipt, stocking, staging, and shipping of materials while adhering to safety and productivity standards set by the company. This position encompasses all warehouse transactions, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the warehouse environment and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a workplace culture that prioritizes employee safety and a secure work environment.
- Adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures and Environmental Health and Safety Rules, promptly addressing any safety issues.
- Receive incoming materials from vendors and customers, verifying quantities and descriptions against packing lists.
- Organize incoming stock on shelves in designated areas and report any freight damage.
- Prepare orders from the warehouse for shipment, ensuring accuracy in product quantity and type.
- Process shipment paperwork, ensuring correct merchandise verification, labeling, and adherence to customer shipping instructions.
- Operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts, reach trucks, and wire cutting machines as required.
- Load and unload shipments for common carriers and company vehicles.
- Inspect and conduct minor maintenance on warehouse equipment.
- Perform inventory counts and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Deliver products to branches and customers when necessary.
- Assist with other warehouse or branch-related tasks as necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
