At Rosebel Gold Mines, we are in search of a Warehouse Engineer who is passionate about enhancing operational efficiency and driving continuous improvement within our warehouse operations. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your technical expertise to optimize warehouse resources and align them with ZIJIN’s overarching business objectives.
The successful candidate will effectively bridge the gap between engineering principles and practical execution on the shop floor. By employing lean methodologies and innovative transformation strategies, you will lead projects aimed at modernizing our warehouse workflows, thereby converting traditional storage into a cutting-edge, technology-driven operation that exemplifies excellence in equipment management and resource utilization.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize warehouse layouts while assessing capacity, workflow, and storage strategies to maximize space utilization and operational efficiency.
- Analyze existing warehouse processes to identify bottlenecks and waste, proposing and implementing targeted improvement initiatives.
- Develop and uphold standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and engineering standards.
- Incorporate lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other management tools to drive lean transformation in warehouse operations.
- Engage in the analysis of requirements, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), SAP, PDA, or other related systems to bolster business operations.
- Encourage the use of digital tools (e.g., RFID, handheld terminals) to enhance data accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Conduct collection, analysis, and visualization of warehouse operational data to support management decision-making and KPI monitoring.
- Oversee the technical selection, introduction, maintenance, and upgrade of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, racking systems, conveyors, AS/RS, and AGVs.
- Develop equipment maintenance plans and operating procedures to ensure safe, stable, and efficient operations.
