We are seeking a Wholesale Planning Manager to become an integral part of our Merchandise Planning team. Reporting directly to the Director of Merchandise Planning, this role will be pivotal in enhancing Away’s success by managing the comprehensive forecasting and planning process for our Wholesale channel.
Key Responsibilities as the Wholesale Planning Manager
Lead the development of the planning process for the wholesale channel, collaborating closely with the Director of Merchandise Planning, while overseeing inventory management across various wholesale partners, including both physical stores and e-commerce platforms, and responding to in-season business dynamics based on market trends.
Manage open-to-buy (OTB) plans by account, door, and SKU, ensuring alignment with sales targets and margin objectives, while working alongside Sales Managers to inform pre-season assortment and volume strategies.
Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Finance teams to ensure that inventory levels are optimized to meet account demands without overexposing our offerings.
Analyze historical data and current performance metrics to refine sell-in, replenishment, and product lifecycle strategies effectively.
Transform topline account forecasts into actionable product-level purchases in conjunction with Merch Planning efforts.
Support margin planning by identifying opportunities within product mix, pricing strategies, or delivery schedules.
Ensure that all planning decisions align with the wider company objectives, including financial pacing, margin targets, and supply chain considerations.
Your Profile
You possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in planning and/or inventory management, preferably within a consumer goods, fashion, or retail context.
You have a natural inclination for building systems and processes from the ground up amidst ambiguity.
You are adept at leading strategic initiatives while being hands-on and detail-oriented in your approach to business.
As a strong analytical thinker, you excel at transforming data into actionable insights and using metrics to guide decision-making.
