About the job
We are seeking a dedicated Youth Residential Support Worker for our facility in Delft! In this role, you will play a crucial part in empowering young individuals to develop their skills and participate meaningfully in society. If you possess a strong sense of responsibility and problem-solving abilities, this position is perfect for you!
What will you do as a Youth Residential Support Worker?
You will work at our Delft location, which accommodates 10 youths aged between 14 and 17. These individuals face developmental challenges, including autism spectrum disorders and ADHD, along with potential co-occurring issues. As a support worker, your daily tasks will involve mentoring, assisting, and guiding these youths across various life domains as outlined in their care plans. You will also help residents transition towards external daytime activities, whether through volunteering, work, or education. For those who are not yet ready for these opportunities, you will collaboratively develop a path to achieve their goals. In addition to practical support, you will motivate and encourage residents towards independence. Your responsibilities will also include daily documentation, regular communication with mentors, and participation in team meetings.
The Delft residence provides 24-hour support and is situated in the city center, home to 30 clients across two distinct groups: 20 adults and 10 youths. Together with your team, consisting of fellow support workers, mentors, and behavioral specialists, you will contribute to a safe, nurturing, and developmentally-focused environment.
