A prominent alternative investment management firm is seeking to enhance its team with the recruitment of a Junior Equity and/or Equity Derivatives Trader. This role will involve collaboration with global investment teams, requiring candidates to be organized, self-motivated, and capable of effectively working with various internal departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk and market risk analysis for both internal and external derivatives and securities finance platforms, including Global Arbitrage & Trading, Fixed Income & Currencies, and Equities.
- Manage transaction cost analysis projects and engage in quantitative research related to trading and investment management.
- Evaluate securities finance and derivative transactions within the broader context of counterparties' trading and investment strategies.
- Demonstrate familiarity with OTC derivative products such as equity swaps/options, credit derivatives, FX forward contracts, and securities finance & repos.
- Perform pre-trade data quality checks, portfolio risk monitoring, and oversee corporate actions affecting the group’s portfolios.
- Understand relevant Standing Orders and Policies concerning Securities Finance and Trading Credit Risk Management; possess qualifications relevant to APAC exchanges.
- Comprehend major Asian equity markets, specifically Hong Kong, China, Australia, Japan, and Korea.
- Possess knowledge of trading documentation, including the ISDA Master Agreement, especially with regard to Equity swaps and CFDs.
- Be aware of securities regulations applicable to mutual funds, hedge funds, pension funds, and other institutional counterparties.
