REQUIRED SKILLSBachelor's degree or DEC in Interior Design. Member of APDIQ (or must join within 6 months of employment). Proficient in French and English (spoken and written). Expertise in Autodesk Revit® and Microsoft Office Suite (minimum 30 hours of training). Knowledge of the entire process of project realization in interior design. Familiarity with technical construction and cabinetry details. Understanding of the legislative and regulatory framework in construction (e.g., CCQ, CNBC). DESIRED ATTRIBUTESStrong interpersonal skills, respect for others, positive, proactive, and constructive attitude. Team-oriented mindset. Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously. Sense of responsibility and professionalism. Strong attention to detail and creativity.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Project Manager – Interior Designer, the incumbent will assist in the development and execution of aesthetically pleasing, functional, and safe interior design concepts for real estate development, corporate, or commercial projects. The role focuses on adhering to best practices aligned with A2DESIGN's core values of humanity, commitment, harmony, and efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct site assessments to identify needs and inventory furniture, while preparing space planning studies.
  • Engage in the creation of conceptual drawings (3D), cabinetry drawings, and technical construction drawings while ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Contribute to the development of functional and technical programs (PFT) or needs definitions.
  • Assist in drafting technical specifications for projects.
  • Participate in feasibility studies and cost estimates for projects.
  • Ensure project compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Calculate areas and research products, materials, and color schemes.
  • Select furniture, window treatments, and accessories.
  • Prepare, print, and dispatch drawings.
  • Assist in overseeing construction work and review shop drawings, addenda, or directives on-site.
  • Participate in team meetings.
  • Continuously update professional knowledge and skills.
  • Perform any other related tasks as assigned.
