Dentons Europe is seeking a skilled Junior IT Project Manager to oversee and deliver projects successfully across our European offices. This position is perfect for individuals who excel in fast-paced environments, adeptly handle challenges, and possess a proven ability to keep projects aligned with goals and timelines. Unlike entry-level or PMO reporting roles, this position demands a solid understanding of the common pitfalls in project management and the expertise to effectively mitigate them.
This is a B2B contract role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of mid-size IT projects across various European locations.
- Assume full responsibility for:
- Scope management
- Project timelines
- Risk assessment and dependency management
- Effective communication of project delivery
- Facilitate daily coordination among IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors.
- Proactively identify and manage blockers, delays, and competing priorities.
- Escalate risks promptly, supported by factual data.
- Oversee vendor coordination and ensure delivery compliance.
- Provide realistic status updates focused on actual performance, not just appearances.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in IT project delivery.
- You should have:
- Successfully delivered projects under tight deadlines.
- Managed relationships with external vendors.
- Handled scope changes and resolved conflicts.
- Gained insights from at least one project that encountered significant issues.
- Strong practical knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, hybrid).
- Fluency in English at a B2+ level, capable of participating in international calls.
- A high degree of personal accountability, resilience, and follow-through.
- Comfort with challenging conversations.
- Strong organizational skills and a focus on execution.
