Junior Security Governance Specialist

Join BWG Foods as a motivated and detail-driven Junior Security Governance Specialist. This role is integral to enhancing our security framework and ensuring compliance with established security protocols. Key Responsibilities:

  • Track and monitor operational security KPIs, SLAs, and related metrics.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining IT security policies, standards, and guidelines in line with industry best practices.
  • Promote the effective implementation of security policies across the organization.
  • Participate in benchmarking activities against security frameworks such as NIST and other relevant standards.
  • Support visibility and reporting on IT initiatives that bolster the company’s security posture.
  • Collaborate with managed security partners to align with BWG Foods’ security objectives.
  • Help maintain centralized risk registers and support risk reporting activities.
  • Assist in preparing security reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Engage in third-party risk management, including vendor security posture evaluations.
  • Contribute to the review and design of technology solutions to meet security requirements.
  • Coordinate security awareness initiatives throughout the business.
  • Work with internal teams to integrate security considerations into projects and processes.
  • Support Security Impact Assessments (SIA) and liaise with the DPO for Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIA) as necessary.
  • Participate in post-incident reviews and assist in implementing lessons learned.
