Required Qualifications:Education:College or University degree in sustainability, economics, business administration, or related fields. Work Experience:A minimum of 1 year of experience in sustainability. Technical Skills:Proficient in MS Office Suite. Basic understanding of ESG principles, reporting standards, and frameworks (e.g., GRI, GHG Protocol). Languages:Fluent in English; proficiency in German or other languages relevant to KOSTAL locations is an advantage. Mobility:Hybrid working model with 1-2 days per week at the KBS office. Key Skills:Passionate about ESG topics and sustainability. Strong analytical skills. Adaptable and quick learner.

About the job

The Junior Sustainability Analyst will play a pivotal role in advancing the sustainability strategy of KOSTAL Group. This position involves developing and managing processes for gathering sustainability data in collaboration with various internal stakeholders.

Under the guidance of the Global Head of Sustainability, this role will assist in the management of KOSTAL Group’s data systems for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting. The analyst will coordinate and respond to external sustainability inquiries, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting systems are maintained.

This position will also support the verification of sustainability data, providing a solid foundation for KOSTAL Group’s ESG reporting to the Executive Leadership Team and external partners.

By fostering strong connections within our global network, the Junior Sustainability Analyst will become a subject matter expert, providing training and support to internal partners.

The role will include active participation in global sustainability projects and communication efforts to further KOSTAL Group’s sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in executing KOSTAL Group’s ESG strategy across various global functions.
  • Establish and maintain systems for collecting environmental, social, and governance data.
  • Handle large datasets related to ESG metrics, track KPIs, and prepare reports in collaboration with different departments.
  • Manage sustainability-related external requests and maintain appropriate reporting systems and documentation.
  • Keep abreast of external sustainability requirements, aligning strategic priorities with stakeholder expectations.
  • Collaborate with the senior sustainability analyst to ensure the accuracy of KOSTAL Group’s sustainability information.
  • Support internal audits and verification of sustainability data and metrics.
  • Provide training to internal stakeholders on sustainability data collection and reporting.
  • Support disclosure processes related to sustainability initiatives like CDP, ECOVADIS, and customer-specific information.
