Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in System Administration within a DoD environment. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. Experience with STIG reviews. Proficient in Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project. CompTIA Security+ Certification or equivalent credential.

Delaware Nation Industries plays a pivotal role in supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division Dam Neck Activity (NSWCDD DNA). Our team is dedicated to delivering enterprise management and technical support to the Command Information Office (CIO) over the RDT&E core infrastructure.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Junior System Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the ongoing development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of operating systems and associated software and hardware for the NSWCDD DNA Command Information Office (CIO) and the RDT&E enclave. You will be part of a collaborative team that supports everything from end-user needs to core server and enterprise services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate technical expertise in operating systems including Server 2019/2022, Windows 10/11, and RHEL 8.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, DNS, DHCP, and database support.
  • Manage VMWare VXRails Virtual Environment for optimal resource utilization.
  • Oversee Veeam Backup solutions to ensure data integrity and preservation.
  • Create and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and support activities.
  • Generate reports to meet contract requirements.
  • Troubleshoot system and network performance issues.
  • Analyze system traffic and develop capacity-planning solutions; respond to complex technical problems.
  • Coordinate with vendor support for effective incident management during outages or system performance degradation.
  • Ensure security compliance of all systems following DISA STIGs, DoN, NAVSEA, and local Command Policies.
  • Design and implement new solutions to meet daily requirements and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Regularly review and update documentation such as SOPs, standards, and implementation guides.
  • Provide technical support and deployment of end-user hardware and software.
