As a Junior Transcriptionist at tgs, you will play a vital role in supporting our dynamic projects by efficiently handling and processing English dictation. Your exceptional command of the English language and keen attention to detail will ensure that all transcriptions meet our high standards of quality and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Team Lead to clarify project specifications and deadlines.
- Work closely with quality assurance personnel to guarantee compliance with transcription guidelines and ensure linguistic accuracy.
- Transcribe audio and video files, as well as update and correct client-provided documents in various formats.
- Proofread and edit transcriptions generated by software to ensure grammatical and formatting precision.
- Utilize subtitling and captioning tools to create and format English subtitles according to project requirements.
- Conduct research using dictionaries and online resources to clarify words, concepts, and facts.
- Perform data entry tasks, including typing names, addresses, and other information from source documents into editable formats.
- Review and provide feedback on external transcription vendors’ work, focusing on enhancing overall quality.
- Assist with any additional tasks assigned by management that align with your role.
