As a Junior Transcriptionist at TransPerfect, you will play a vital role in processing English dictations efficiently and accurately. You will provide essential in-house support for various projects, ensuring high-quality transcription that meets project specifications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional English language skills, possess strong listening abilities, and be meticulous in proofreading to guarantee the accuracy and quality of all deliverables.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicate effectively with the Team Lead to understand and clarify project details.
Work closely with quality assurance personnel to ensure compliance with transcription standards and linguistic accuracy.
Transcribe content from audio and video files, revise client documents in various formats, and proofread for grammar, spelling, and formatting accuracy.
Create and format English subtitles using different subtitling and captioning tools according to specifications.
Conduct research on words, concepts, and facts using online resources and dictionaries.
Perform data entry tasks by accurately typing information from source documents or replicating on-screen text and graphics into editable formats, primarily using Microsoft Word.
Proofread and edit transcriptions produced by external vendors to ensure quality.
Review and clarify inaudible portions from external transcription vendor submissions.
Complete additional tasks as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
