Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver an Engaging Curriculum: Utilize our specially designed curriculum tailored for advanced learners to effectively teach language arts in small groups.
  • Foster Student Engagement: Actively involve students in discussions and collaborative learning experiences.
  • Manage Classroom Dynamics: Oversee and mentor up to 16 students, ensuring a productive and respectful classroom environment.
  • Assess and Provide Constructive Feedback: Evaluate student performance on tests and assignments and offer insightful feedback.
  • Build Lasting Relationships: Connect with students and their families to positively influence their educational journeys.
  • Encourage a Love for Learning: Inspire critical thinking and a deep appreciation for language arts.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Preferred: Degree in education or a humanities discipline.
  • Demonstrated expertise in reading, writing, and grammar.
  • Prior classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level is a plus.
  • Experience in tutoring or teaching students is advantageous.

Note: A formal teaching credential is not mandatory for this role.

Schedule Commitment:

  • Classes are held in the evenings and on weekends; availability for after-school hours (starting as early as 4 PM) and weekends is essential.
  • Initial commitment of approximately 3 hours per week for each assigned class.
  • Each course meets once a week for 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Summer Schedule:

  • We conduct various two-week camps from June to August.
  • Camp sessions run Monday through Friday, lasting 3 hours each day with both morning and afternoon options.

Campus Location:

This position is in-person at our Bellevue facility. Candidates must be local to the Bellevue area.
