Role overview
The Launch Reliability Engineer works closely with a range of teams across SpaceX. This includes collaborating with Flight Reliability, Launch Engineering, and Launch Operations to support major programs such as Falcon 9, Dragon, and Starship. The position involves both hands-on and analytical work, with time spent in the office, on the factory floor, and at launch sites.
What you will do
- Oversee hardware reliability throughout its lifecycle, from initial design to production, operation, and maintenance
- Analyze reliability factors and work with design and development teams to improve manufacturing, testing, and flight performance
- Support continuous improvement of operational processes for launch pad and recovery systems
- Contribute to projects supporting crewed spaceflight and long-term goals like Mars colonization
Work environment
