Your Role:
The Lead Advanced Quality Engineer plays a pivotal leadership role within our Advanced Quality/Launch team. You will guide Advanced Quality Engineers in decision-making, problem resolution, and program management during launches. Collaborating closely with Program Managers and the Launch team, you will ensure that all Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) documentation, customer-specific requirements, and internal needs are met to guarantee a seamless start of production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all quality-related launch activities, serving as the liaison for both internal and external customers. Prepare APQP and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation for products in the launch phase. Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams on new programs to verify compliance with all customer requirements.
- Participate in all assigned program team meetings and assist fellow Advanced Quality Engineers as needed.
- Rapidly acquire detailed product knowledge.
- Work alongside Project Engineers to ensure Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEAs) are completed promptly to influence tooling designs.
- Support Supplier Quality Engineers in reviewing supplier PPAPs and assist in the supplier selection process.
- Develop effective Control Plans.
- Provide guidance on dimensional tolerancing and specifications evaluation and approval.
