QualificationsMinimum of 6 years in federal, state, and local tax provision/compliance experience. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is required. Proficient in One Source Tax Provision software, including setup and administration. Strong knowledge of FAS 109/ASC 740 Tax Accounting principles. Experience with tax compliance reviews across various jurisdictions and familiarity with tax preparation software. Proficient in tax analytic tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, and AI applications. A self-motivated individual with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

About the job

The Lead Analyst, Tax Reporting role at Clearway sits within the Tax Reporting team and reports to the Senior Manager, Tax Reporting. This hybrid position is primarily based in Princeton, New Jersey, and involves a mix of tax accounting duties across financial statement reporting, corporate and partnership accounting, and tax compliance support. The role also provides opportunities to contribute to additional projects as business needs evolve.

Main responsibilities

  • Support quarterly and annual income tax accounting and reporting tasks.
  • Prepare income tax provisions, footnotes, and disclosures in line with ASC 740 requirements.
  • Oversee and administer the One Source Tax Provision system during year-end close.
  • Conduct tax basis balance sheet studies and return-to-provision analyses.
  • Work with Internal Audit to provide documentation for internal control testing.
  • Lead state apportionment calculations to determine the annual effective tax rate.
  • Gather and organize tax accounting data to support third-party tax return preparation.

Work arrangement

This is a hybrid role with primary work based at Clearway's Princeton, New Jersey office.
