Requirements:Experience: A minimum of five years in HVAC maintenance focusing on preventive maintenance, centrifugal chiller operations, energy management, and troubleshooting techniques. Education & Training: High school diploma or equivalent, Universal Refrigeration Certification, and formal technical training in HVAC is preferred. Competencies: Proficient in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems; ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics; experience in compressor replacement; strong communication skills; capacity to prioritize tasks effectively; self-motivated team player.

About the job

As the Lead Building Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the HVAC systems and all mechanical equipment within our facility. Collaborating closely with the Chief Engineer, you will ensure that all building systems operate efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage the operating conditions and control parameters of all HVAC and mechanical equipment.
  • Implement strategies to enhance energy efficiency across building operations, including electrical, water, and gas consumption.
  • Supervise contractors responsible for chiller maintenance, emergency generators, and water treatment.
  • Lead routine maintenance and emergency repair operations for HVAC and mechanical systems.
  • Address unscheduled maintenance requests, including plumbing emergencies, electrical repairs, and minor structural fixes.
  • Ensure all building equipment functions optimally to maintain a comfortable environment.
  • Conduct and oversee preventive maintenance while maintaining accurate records for all equipment.
  • Responsible for routine tasks such as changing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, filters, and ballasts.
  • Proactively inspect the facility for deficiencies and coordinate necessary repairs.
  • Respond to after-hours emergency calls on a rotating schedule.
  • Foster a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.
