Ripple Effect is hiring two Lead Cloud Engineers to guide the company’s enterprise cloud platforms. One position will focus on infrastructure leadership, while the other will lead DevOps initiatives. Both roles are based in Bethesda, Maryland, and play a central part in shaping the architecture, standards, and governance of AWS, Azure, and DGP environments.
Leads will collaborate with application, security, and systems engineering teams to deliver cloud solutions that are secure, auditable, and scalable. The work supports mission-critical operations and must comply with FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIH security standards.
What You Will Do
- Cloud Leadership & Technical Execution: Take responsibility for architecture, operational standards, and governance of AWS, Azure, and DGP platforms. Oversee shared services, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD enablement, and operational guidelines to ensure reliable and repeatable solutions. Validate technical deliverables, address deviations, and bring new cloud technologies and industry trends into practice.
- Compliance, Security, and Risk Management: Develop and enforce compliance frameworks that meet FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIH security requirements. Address client questions about regulatory adherence and integrate risk-based approaches into infrastructure, DevOps, and operations.
- Strategy, Governance, and Quality Management: Lead enterprise-level governance efforts and ensure quality assurance and best practices in cloud deployments, aligning with organizational objectives.
