Role Overview & Impact:As a Data Analyst at Xero, you will be instrumental in enhancing the beauty of small businesses through the delivery of high-quality analytics, insights, and scientific approaches. Engaging deeply with extensive data repositories, you will foster a comprehensive understanding of customer behaviors, shaping impactful product and marketing strategies on a global scale.Your contributions will significantly affect Xero's digital performance acquisition, customer engagement, and retention strategies. By extracting valuable insights from intricate data sources and executing thorough experiments, you will enable internal teams to grasp current trends and influence customer actions.Team Dynamics:You will report directly to the Advanced Analytics Manager and collaborate with an Australia-based team, working closely with departments like Customer Engagement to analyze current trends and the customer landscape, ensuring robust support for our global community through advanced technology solutions.Initial Focus Areas:Conducting rapid A/B testing and experimentation analysis to enhance product and process quality.Analyzing complex datasets from the Xero data platform, Google Analytics, and Mixpanel to discern customer landscape and trends.Developing and operationalizing proofs of concept and data assets for high-level reporting and dashboard creation.Collaborating with the Customer Engagement team to effectively manage digital performance, retention, and personalization initiatives.Working Environment:This position is an 11-month contract role providing parental leave cover. We embrace a hybrid working model, balancing remote work flexibility with designated office days to foster collaboration and connection with your colleagues.Desired Qualifications:Extensive experience in data analytics within the digital or technology sector, particularly with large-scale datasets.Proficient in SQL for data manipulation, coupled with a strong foundation in Python for analytical purposes.In-depth understanding of experimentation design, particularly in A/B testing methodologies.Exceptional storytelling skills, capable of presenting complex statistical insights to non-technical stakeholders.
