Xero is seeking a Lead Data Analyst for an 11-month fixed-term contract based at Xero 4, 96 St Georges Bay Rd, Auckland. This position focuses on building strong marketing analytics frameworks that help drive quick, informed decisions. The work centers on gathering requirements, collecting and analyzing data, and turning findings into practical insights that support digital and customer-focused outcomes.
What You Will Do
- Analyze marketing experiments and provide evaluations that help partner teams set new priorities.
- Design and assess A/B tests and other experiments to improve digital performance and customer engagement.
- Develop data assets and models that support reporting and guide strategic decisions.
- Identify and report data quality issues to engineering teams to improve data coverage and instrumentation.
- Translate complex data into clear stories and visuals for non-technical audiences.
Team and Collaboration
This role reports to the Advanced Analytics Manager. The Lead Data Analyst works closely with an Australia-based analytics team and partners with groups such as Customer Engagement to examine trends and customer behavior. The goal: ensure Xero’s global community benefits from strong technology and insight-driven marketing.
Work Environment
This is a parental leave cover for 11 months. Xero supports a hybrid work model, blending remote work with regular in-office “boost days” to foster collaboration and team connection.
What We’re Looking For
- Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large, complex data platforms.
- Solid background in experimentation frameworks and A/B testing.
- Experience using tools like Python, Google Analytics, or Big Query for data extraction and manipulation.
- Ability to communicate findings through clear narratives and compelling visualizations.
