Desired Qualifications:15+ years of experience in Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls engineeringExperience in Waste-to-Energy, biomass, thermal power plants, industrial utilities, or large-scale energy projectsProven experience as a Lead Engineer in consulting engineering firms, EPCs, OEMs, or owner/operator organizationsDemonstrated success delivering Owner’s Engineer and Technical Advisory assignmentsStrong technical expertise in electrical systems, protection schemes, automation architecture, and I&C systemsFamiliarity with IEC, IEEE standards, and relevant Singapore/Malaysia codes and regulatory frameworksExperience reviewing SLDs, protection studies, control philosophies, logic diagrams, and plant automation systems

About the Role

We are searching for a Lead Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EIC) Engineer to join our dynamic team in Singapore or Malaysia, contributing to the wider APAC Energy department comprised of over 25 specialists. Your projects will predominantly span Southeast Asia, with potential support for international initiatives through Ramboll’s global centers of excellence.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Leading EIC workstreams in Owner’s Engineer projects
  • Evaluating technical documentation from EPC contractors, OEMs, and technology providers
  • Providing technical advisory services to lenders, investors, and asset owners, including due diligence and risk assessments
  • Assisting in feasibility studies, conceptual engineering, and technology evaluations
  • Supervising electrical and control system scopes during construction, commissioning, and performance testing
  • Taking on the role of Lead Engineer for EIC discipline in multidisciplinary projects
