Qualifications

FAA Airframe and Powerplant License required. At least eight (8) years of experience in aircraft turbine engine line or shop maintenance or equivalent experience. A minimum of two (2) years of experience with corporate jet aircraft. A minimum of one (1) year of experience working on Bombardier aircraft. Skilled in performing engine removals and installations (R&Rs), conducting borescope inspections, and preparing detailed written reports.

  • Follow Bombardier General Work Instructions across various settings including factory, shop, or hangar.
  • Adhere to environmental health and safety policies and procedures, actively participating in 5-S activities to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
  • Accurately document all work performed in compliance with relevant manuals and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of engines and auxiliary power units (APUs), along with associated aircraft systems and components, checking for damage, defects, corrosion, or other signs of wear to confirm airworthiness as per maintenance manuals.
  • Interpret maintenance logs and discrepancies to troubleshoot issues effectively, determining necessary steps to restore aircraft to operational status.
  • Advise on the replacement, repair, or modification of aircraft engines and APUs based on inspection findings.
  • Handle the installation, removal, or modification of turbine engines, APUs, systems, or components, adhering to engineering orders, technical publications, and schematics.
  • Repair worn, defective, or damaged parts using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment.
  • Research and interpret technical manuals and guidelines to facilitate inspections, installations, repairs, and other maintenance activities.
  • Perform operational checks and functional tests on engines, APUs, and related systems.
  • Execute the installation, removal, or modification of aircraft structures and systems in accordance with engineering documentation.
  • Verify completed work to ensure adherence to maintenance standards and readiness for operation.
  • Assist colleagues with general aircraft maintenance tasks relevant to their areas of expertise.
  • Support Aviation Maintenance Technicians with ground support equipment operations, including ground power units and hydraulic mules as necessary.
  • Assist in conducting complete engine runs.
  • Operate ground support equipment efficiently.
  • Contribute to off-aircraft component repairs.
  • Carry out mechanical and electrical removals and installations.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
