Position Overview
The RAN Validation Team Lead will spearhead comprehensive validation activities for LTE Radio Access Network (RAN) systems. This role merges hands-on technical validation with leadership, lab management, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality LTE features.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
- Oversee validation activities for LTE RAN features across PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, and RRC layers.
- Establish validation strategies, detailed test plans, and coverage for new LTE features, updates, and bug fixes.
- Analyze and authorize test results, failure analyses, and validation reports.
- Conduct root cause analysis for complex LTE issues, including throughput degradation, BLER, HARQ failures, scheduler behavior, CQI/MCS mismatches, and PHY impairments.
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and technically direct a team of LTE RAN validation engineers.
- Delegate tasks, monitor progress, and guarantee timely delivery of validation milestones.
- Encourage team development through technical coaching and knowledge sharing.
- Engage in hiring, onboarding, and conducting performance evaluations.
Automation & Tools:
- Champion test automation initiatives utilizing Python (MATLAB experience is a plus).
- Guide the development of automation frameworks, drivers, and test utilities.
- Optimize the utilization of CI pipelines, logs, KPIs, and performance dashboards.
