Sperasoft is in an exciting phase of growth, and we are seeking a talented and seasoned Lead Level Artist to enhance our existing environment art team. We have established a strong foundation, and we need a creative leader who can elevate the quality of our work through both their contributions and by inspiring team members around them.
This role goes beyond traditional management; we are looking for an engaged leader who is passionate about modeling environments, executing set dressing, and building levels directly in the engine while fostering team development through mentorship and example.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Level Designers and the Art Director to uphold high visual standards and ensure gameplay clarity.
- Foster team development by sharing expertise, techniques, and best practices.
- Create high-quality environment assets, including modular pieces, props, terrain elements, and hero assets.
- Engage in set dressing tasks, focusing on composition, storytelling through props, decals, and overall scene staging.
- Regularly work within the engine to build and refine level art.
- Maintain technical performance metrics such as LODs, draw calls, and memory usage without compromising visual ambition.
- Proactively enhance modular kits with top-notch models.
- Provide constructive feedback on team members' work.
