ABOUT THE TEAM:
Our Missiles Manufacturing team is on the lookout for a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to spearhead the development of manufacturing processes for our advanced products. This team is tasked with rapidly designing and constructing innovative defense hardware, including both stationary equipment and dynamic ground vehicles. This role encompasses the entire manufacturing value chain, including Design for Manufacturability, tool selection and design, process development and optimization, vendor interaction, quality assurance planning, and comprehensive documentation related to hardware production.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As the Lead Manufacturing Engineer, you will guide a team of manufacturing engineers focused on driving operational enhancements, ensuring top-tier production quality, and supporting the development and launch of new products. The diverse nature of this role will leverage both your technical knowledge and leadership capabilities to set ambitious goals, foster cross-functional collaboration, and expedite project timelines. You will be instrumental in refining manufacturing processes, curtailing costs, and boosting efficiencies for existing technologies while also facilitating the transition to full-scale production for new innovations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Oversee the manufacturing of specific products from initial prototyping to large-scale production.
- Lead a team to ensure timely completion of development and production milestones within the product line.
- Collaborate with design engineers throughout the development lifecycle to incorporate manufacturing best practices into the design phase, facilitating a smooth transition from design to prototype to full production.
- Act as the manufacturing lead for mechanical and electronic components, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
