Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the R&D of innovative algorithms and subsystems for motion planning in autonomous driving, enhancing our Operational Design Domain through advanced search-based and geometry-based methods, with a focus on probabilistic decision-making.
- Coordinate cross-functional projects to create or improve existing interfaces aimed at solving complex challenges.
- Evaluate overall system performance, identifying areas for enhancement and devising technical strategies to rectify deficiencies.
- Guide multidisciplinary project teams to deliver holistic solutions while considering the broader context of the planning system.
- Architect and integrate complex motion planning and prediction algorithms, driving their evaluation and optimization for real-world applications.
- Develop a robust, scalable codebase that supports rapid experimentation, prototyping, and rigorous assessment of new motion planning methodologies.
- Facilitate technical collaboration across perception, prediction, trajectory optimization, tracking, and control components to ensure comprehensive system performance.
- Utilize your extensive software development and research expertise to mentor colleagues on best practices, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to both junior and senior team members, promoting an environment centered on product-focused engineering, thorough research, and advanced development.
