Responsibilities:Lead the design of sensor processing systems from conceptualization through to integration. Implement logic designs using VHDL. Integrate designs onto FPGA/SoC platforms. Develop automated verification tests. Collaborate with embedded software engineers to deliver complete and functional products. Required Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field. A minimum of 10 years of experience with FPGAs. Proficiency in VHDL. Experience in troubleshooting timing closure issues. Expertise in multi-clock designs. Familiarity with verification methodologies and frameworks.

Join Our Team as a Principal FPGA Engineer

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Principal FPGA Engineer to become an integral part of our Embedded Systems team. In this role, you will design, develop, and validate FPGAs for the reactor's instrumentation and control systems, focusing on safety-critical applications, sensor and actuator management, and communication systems. You will collaborate closely with hardware engineers, embedded software engineers, and test engineers in a cross-functional environment to create cohesive designs that effectively monitor and control fission reactors. As a key contributor, you will play a vital role in testing the first commercial reactor design in over half a century.

This position is full-time and based onsite in El Segundo, CA.
