About the job

AECOM is currently seeking a Lead Road Engineer to join our dynamic team in Stockholm.

In your role as a Lead Engineer (LE), you will be responsible for overseeing the work in the road design technical area. Project sizes will vary from smaller road/street/land assignments to being part of a large multidisciplinary project alongside our design team. As a Lead Engineer, you will also engage actively in traditional responsibilities such as scheduling, budgeting, quality assurance, and risk management, to name a few.

We encourage our Lead Engineers to participate actively in the bidding process, allowing them to influence how the assignment will be conducted and highlight the added value that AECOM brings to our projects.

You will have the opportunity to work on some of the most interesting and significant infrastructure projects in Sweden related to roads and railways. We operate in a strongly international environment, with English being used daily as we collaborate with colleagues around the world (primarily in Europe).

Key Responsibilities as a Lead Engineer at AECOM:

  • Act as the representative for the road and land technical area to the client.

  • Identify and communicate overarching client requirements to the team and monitor the implementation and fulfillment of these requirements.

  • Participate in meetings with clients.

  • Be responsible for tracking and reporting on the progress of technical areas against the timeline and budget.

  • Identify and communicate project changes.

  • Ensure that the quality assurance process is followed and documented.

  • Actively work on upselling in our assignments and contribute to business development.

  • Support the management team with bidding efforts.
