About the Role
As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will spearhead security assurance across our cloud platforms, particularly emphasizing Microsoft Azure/365. This role merges hands-on cloud security engineering with DevSecOps expertise, solution architecture reviews, and governance practices.
You will collaborate closely with Service Delivery, Architecture, and Development teams to integrate robust security controls throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), proactively identify potential risks, and support the secure operation of enterprise systems. Serving as a crucial escalation point within the Security function, you will also contribute to incident response, threat modeling, and the continuous enhancement of our security capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Security & Architecture
- Collaborate with Service Delivery to secure cloud environments, including Azure, Microsoft Entra, Microsoft 365, and Salesforce.
- Offer expert guidance and assurance across cloud architecture, SaaS integrations, design submissions, and technical change processes.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and propose forward-looking secure solutions.
- Review internally developed application designs for security compliance.
Operational Security
- Provide operational support for the Microsoft Defender suite including Endpoint, Identity, O365, and Cloud.
- Investigate and analyze outputs from SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and other security tools.
- Assist in incident response efforts by providing technical analysis and remediation strategies.
Security Engineering & DevSecOps
- Facilitate secure delivery across IaaS, PaaS, Containers, and Infrastructure-as-Code environments.
- Ensure secure integration of APIs, cloud-native services, and CI/CD tooling.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to security engineering.
