Role Overview: Lead Site Reliability Engineer (India)
This role guides the technical direction for infrastructure, focusing on reliability, scalability, and cost. The Lead SRE shapes architecture, drives operational standards, and ensures the security and stability of critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the technical strategy for infrastructure, making architectural choices that support reliability and scale while managing costs.
- Design and build systems of varying complexity, applying distributed systems best practices to limit technical debt and anticipate future needs.
- Conduct architectural reviews and encourage effective design patterns across the organization.
- Find ways to improve existing software architecture and extend design patterns to solve platform-wide challenges.
- Define and uphold security standards for systems managed by the team, addressing vulnerabilities proactively.
- Set and track service level objectives (SLOs) and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) for team-managed services.
- Lead incident response for complex, multi-service problems, working to diagnose and resolve root causes and prevent repeat issues.
- Establish logging, monitoring, and operational standards for all systems under team management.
Work Location
This position is based in India. Juniper Square supports flexible work arrangements, including remote and in-office options in Mumbai and Bangalore.
