About You

You are an innovative leader bridging high-level software orchestration and low-level system performance. Your passion lies in developing infrastructure that serves the public good, rather than being a proprietary asset. You recognize that in the realm of advanced AI, software and hardware function as a cohesive unit. You are equally adept at designing distributed scheduling algorithms in Go and resolving NCCL timeouts or enhancing InfiniBand fabrics.

About Us

In contrast to much of the AI sector, which has retreated behind closed APIs, proprietary datasets, and opaque infrastructure, Ai2 stands as a beacon for Open Science. Established by the late Paul Allen, we are a non-profit research institute committed to developing AI for the collective benefit of humanity.

We are driven by a mission rather than a stock price, focusing on delivering transparent, high-performance foundations that empower the global research community to achieve transformative breakthroughs.

What Sets Us Apart:

  • Radical Transparency: We share not only model weights but also the data, training code, and insights into our infrastructure, affirming our belief that understanding the 'how' is as crucial as the 'what.'
  • Mission over Margin: Our primary metric is scientific impact, allowing us the unique latitude to prioritize technical excellence, long-term stability, and open-source contributions above short-term profit objectives.
  • The Best of Both Worlds: We operate at the speed and scale of a leading tech startup while embodying the intellectual spirit of a research laboratory.
  • The Beaker Ecosystem: We build a community that fosters collaboration and innovation.
