Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement proactive, secure-by-default measures across our technology stack—cloud, CI/CD, applications, and endpoints—by establishing paved roads and guardrails that minimize risk at scale. Offer actionable security recommendations for new products and technologies, focusing on seamless integration of secure-by-default practices into existing workflows. Lead design reviews and threat assessments for high-impact features and services, identifying potential risks early and ensuring proper mitigations are integrated. Develop and enhance security tools to prevent issues during the build and deployment phases while automating detection and response capabilities in production environments. Advance our detection and incident response strategies—improve signal quality, fine-tune detections, and implement automated responses to mitigate manual workload and reduce containment time. Collaborate across various business functions to bolster enterprise-wide security, including endpoint and device trust, identity and email safeguards, security training and awareness, vendor evaluations, risk assessments, and compliance support (e.g., PCI/SOX). Shield SeatGeek from abuse and bot activity at both the edge and application layers through layered defenses and tuning mechanisms. Lead and actively participate in significant security incidents and tabletop exercises; enhance runbooks, processes, and stakeholder communication following each event. Mentor engineers to elevate secure coding practices and contribute to a positive, pragmatic security culture throughout the organization.
