About the job
Infleqtion develops quantum computers, sensors, and networks in Boulder, Colorado. The company’s work centers on bringing quantum technology into practical, real-world applications across different industries. Each product reflects a commitment to advancing the field and making quantum systems more accessible.
Role overview
The Level III Engineering Technician works on Infleqtion’s production team, assembling sub-components, subsystems, and full products from the commercial product line. This position involves hands-on assembly, requiring steady manual skills and a careful eye for detail. The technician uses mechanical, electrical, and optical engineering equipment daily. Safety and quality standards guide every step of the process.
Main responsibilities
- Independently assemble complex optical, vacuum, mechanical, and electrical builds by following work instructions, drawings, solid models, schematics, and engineering judgment.
- Manage assigned builds from kit preparation through final inspection, including testing, documentation, resolving nonconformances, and transferring to the next production phase.
- Handle new or low-volume builds, even when documentation is incomplete, while maintaining configuration control, safety, and quality.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop repeatable build methods, fixtures, instructions, and inspection criteria based on drawings, prototypes, and informal knowledge.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area through regular maintenance and housekeeping.
- Act as a quality checkpoint for assigned builds, ensuring workmanship, cleanliness, documentation, and inspection results meet product and customer standards before handoff.
- Troubleshoot issues in assembly, inspection, testing, tooling, and processes across optical, mechanical, vacuum, and electrical workflows. Identify probable root causes and recommend practical solutions.
- Support root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and verification of process improvements.
- Demonstrate advanced skills across multiple production processes and product areas, and quickly learn new processes as required.
- Provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance to junior team members.
