Qualifications
Key ResponsibilitiesLead, inspire, and mentor your team to achieve excellence in product delivery. Establish clear goals; prioritize tasks, and assess team performance metrics. Enhance team productivity and support individual career advancement. Coordinate effectively with project managers, hardware engineering, quality assurance, and certification teams. Oversee projects from inception through to completion, managing any escalations. Engage with OEMs, ODMs, SiPs, and IHVs to tackle technical challenges. Assess and prioritize global customer requests. Collaborate with product engineering teams across Desktop, Foundations, Kernel, and Security. Champion best practices in methodologies, strategies, and tools. Willingness to travel to the EU, USA, China, and Taiwan as necessary. Required Skills and ExperienceBachelor's degree (or higher) in a STEM field, ideally in computer science or software engineering. Demonstrated experience in technical roles involving Linux, particularly Ubuntu or Debian. Strong commitment to development methodologies and maintaining high code quality. Proven management experience with a collaborative approach. Ability to thrive in a globally distributed team through self-discipline and motivation. Drive and determination to meet deadlines consistently. Fluency in both English and Chinese, with excellent communication skills. Desirable Skills and ExperienceExperience in making technical decisions as a team tech lead. Expertise in software architecture and design. Background in software development or operations with technologies such as Ubuntu (kernel and userspace), deb/snap packaging, QEMU/KVM, LXC/LXD, Containers, Python, Go, C, bash, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kubernetes, OpenStack, Ceph, and AI/ML. Involvement in open-source development projects. Familiarity with CI/CD practices.
