QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED is required. An Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, a Bachelor’s Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate is preferred. Prior experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises Liability, First Party Claims, or other injury-related legal practices is highly desirable. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, ideally within a law firm or corporate legal department. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

This Litigation Assistant position is based in Phoenix, Arizona. The role works closely with a lead attorney and a litigation paralegal, providing essential support to keep legal processes on track and organized.

Key responsibilities

  • Schedule court hearings, track deadlines, and manage case files and logistics.
  • Maintain and update indexes for pleadings and discovery materials.
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices for litigation matters.
  • Identify ways to improve administrative workflows and increase efficiency.
  • Collect, review, and categorize evidence and legal documents for attorney review.
  • Draft and proofread correspondence, pleadings, contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Research laws, regulations, and legal articles to assist with case preparation and reporting.
  • Prepare, finalize, and distribute client bills; resolve billing questions with the billing attorney.
  • Coordinate meetings, interviews, and depositions with clients and witnesses.
  • Maintain both paper and electronic filing systems for case documents.
  • Support attorneys with managing calendars and arranging travel.
  • Handle additional administrative tasks as needed to assist the legal team.
