QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED. Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor’s Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate is preferred. Experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises Liability, First Party Claims, or similar injury-related practice areas is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant is preferred.

Summary

We are on the lookout for a skilled Litigation Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role involves overseeing daily operations within our law firm, providing essential administrative support, and assisting our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute administrative tasks, including scheduling hearings, managing case files, and coordinating logistics.
  • Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes efficiently.
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices with precision.
  • Enhance and streamline administrative processes for optimal workflow.
  • Gather, analyze, and arrange evidence and legal documents for attorney review and case preparation.
  • Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, including pleadings and contracts.
  • Conduct research on regulations, laws, and legal articles to aid in report preparation, case files, and legal advice.
  • Oversee client billing by preparing, finalizing, and dispatching bills, while addressing any billing issues in collaboration with the billing attorney.
  • Engage with clients and witnesses to set up meetings, interviews, and depositions.
  • Organize and maintain documents in both paper and electronic filing systems.
  • Provide general administrative assistance, including calendar management and travel arrangements for attorneys.
  • Perform additional related duties as required to support business needs.
