About the job

Join Hadrian - Shaping the Future of Manufacturing

At Hadrian, we are revolutionizing the manufacturing landscape by creating autonomous factories that empower aerospace and defense industries to produce rockets, satellites, jets, and ships up to 10 times faster and at half the cost. Our innovative integration of advanced software, robotics, and comprehensive manufacturing capabilities is transforming how vital components are made in America.

Having successfully raised $260 million in our Series C funding, we're excited to announce the launch of our new 270,000 square foot factory in Mesa, Arizona, which will generate 350 immediate job opportunities. This expansion includes the establishment of our new headquarters to facilitate thousands of future hires, the launch of Hadrian Maritime for naval production, and the introduction of a Factory-as-a-Service model that provides complete systems rather than just individual components.

Collaborating with startups, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, and major defense contractors, Hadrian is committed to scaling production, minimizing costs, and accelerating the delivery of mission-critical projects across the realms of space, shipbuilding, and aviation. Backed by prestigious investors such as Lux Capital, Founders Fund, and Andreessen Horowitz, our rapidly growing team shares a unified vision to reindustrialize American manufacturing for the 21st century and beyond!

Your Role:

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Hadrian, you will be instrumental in developing advanced software systems that automate Design for Manufacturing (DFM) analysis, enhancing the efficiency of precision manufacturing. Our proprietary DFM platform evaluates design prints and CAD models to make informed, data-driven decisions about the manufacturability of parts.

You will collaborate closely with top-tier operators to pinpoint significant opportunities where software, computer vision, and machine learning can substantially enhance or automate complex engineering tasks. Your expertise will be crucial in the design, development, and scaling of these systems from inception to implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, develop, and implement state-of-the-art deep learning models, including OCR, vision-language processing, and detection models for document comprehension and layout analysis.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams and end users to refine and enhance existing models.

  • Engage in all aspects of the Machine Learning lifecycle, from building and optimizing production data pipelines to developing software systems for training, inference, labeling, and evaluation.

  • Perform rigorous testing and validation of models to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
