Qualifications

Education: Successfully completed vocational training in a technical field (Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Microtechnology, or similar) with relevant professional experience. Experience and Expertise: Professional experience in practical maintenance (Preventive Maintenance and troubleshooting), preferably in the semiconductor industry. Knowledge of production and maintenance of technical systems (ideally in semiconductor manufacturing) is desired, along with familiarity with SPC methodologies. Personal Attributes: Team-oriented, flexible, motivated, and strong communicator. Work Style: Proactive, independent, responsible, results-oriented, quality-focused, and highly reliable; knowledge of extensive safety regulations and risk assessment in daily operations.

About the job

  • As a Maintenance Engineer specializing in Metrology and Defect Density Engineering, you will collaborate with your team to ensure optimal production availability while executing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks in compliance with safety guidelines and operational procedures.
  • This role involves identifying and resolving issues in electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, either independently or in cooperation with external service providers when necessary.
  • You will independently execute qualifications as per established protocols and operate essential metrology equipment.
  • Your focus will be on maintaining high machine availability (Uptime) and ensuring equipment stability through the application of methodologies such as Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • You will prepare maintenance instructions and corresponding checklists in consultation with your team and maintain detailed documentation of your work within our maintenance applications.
  • Additionally, you will actively participate in ongoing improvement processes and contribute to the commissioning of new equipment.

This position operates within a fully continuous 6:4 shift model, where you will work for 6 consecutive days followed by 4 days off.
