Role overview
The Maintenance Supervisor will join the team at Fairway Lakes Apartments, a 340-unit property in Westerville, OH. This full-time role works closely with the Community Manager to oversee all operational aspects of the property. The position requires hands-on trade skills, strong communication, and a focus on customer service. Experience with budget management and contractor coordination is important, as is the ability to maintain both the mechanical and structural integrity of the community.
What you will do
- Supervise and perform building and grounds maintenance, including both physical and administrative tasks.
- Ensure units are ready for new residents and all service requests are completed promptly.
- Manage maintenance supplies, inventory, and budgets.
- Coordinate snow removal and handle after-hours emergency maintenance needs.
- Use technology and software to track maintenance activities and manage budgets.
- Negotiate rates and maintain relationships with service providers and vendors.
- Participate in hiring and lead regular team meetings.
- Carry out preventive maintenance plans and troubleshoot issues across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and painting trades.
