At The Exploration Company, we are pioneering the development, production, and operation of Nyx, a groundbreaking modular and reusable space orbital vehicle capable of in-orbit refueling. This innovative vehicle is designed to transport cargo and has the potential to carry humans in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Inspection Planning & Execution:
Collaborate with the MAIT and Product Assurance teams to establish and implement inspection control activities at:
Incoming materials
Critical stages of manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing.
Prior to customer delivery or next integration stage.
Nonconformance Management:
Facilitate the identification, documentation, and containment of nonconformances.
Assist with Material Review Board (MRB) activities and monitor rework or repair implementations and verifications.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with engineering and MAIT teams.
Quality Assurance Support in Operations:
Provide daily quality support to MAIT operations.
Review and approve MAIT procedures.
Ensure compliance with internal protocols, customer specifications, and aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100).
Qualification of special processes based on EN9100 (e.g., welding, Non-Destructive Testing). Desirable experience includes welding.
Train MAIT personnel on quality processes and best practices.
Coordinate calibration activities.
Continuous Improvement:
Lead quality enhancement initiatives to improve process stability and product quality.
Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to elevate product quality.
Analyze quality data and produce reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
