The Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager is responsible for formulating and executing strategies and programs that ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, while striving for world-class safety standards within the division. This role requires a proactive, hands-on approach to effectively communicate and coach team members, driving a positive safety culture aimed at achieving a zero Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR).Key Responsibilities:Accountability for the division-wide safety plan, including communication of goals, improvements, and achievements.Identify and evaluate certification and training requirements for team members.Facilitate the creation, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of safety training programs for the division.Measure and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Environmental, Health, and Safety, reporting to the leadership team as necessary.Ensure compliance with air and water permitting regulations from relevant agencies.Develop strategies to integrate safety and environmental stewardship into daily operations.Provide coaching and support to enhance safety behaviors and performance across the team.Encourage employee engagement in EH&S initiatives and track participation.Oversee contractor safety measures and training, ensuring adherence to company standards.Evaluate and report on contractor safety performance.Maintain Occupational Health programs in line with regulations and company expectations.Manage division nurse responsibilities, training, and certifications.Ensure the integrity of improvement opportunities and routine risk assessments.Supervise the quality and consistency of incident investigations and reporting processes to implement corrective actions effectively.Manage and monitor workers' compensation claims and related litigations.
