About the Role
We are expanding our Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) function globally and seeking a Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering (Global). In this pivotal leadership role, you will establish the strategy, standards, and execution benchmarks for our team. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will manage the global FDE function, directly supervise FDEs in the U. S., and collaborate closely with regional General Managers in EMEA and APAC.
What You Will Do
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of FDEs who spearhead customer engagements (both pre- and post-sales) to define and deliver tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to craft solutions that address genuine customer needs.
- Work alongside Product and Engineering to integrate customer-specific solutions into the product roadmap.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across APIs, integrations, and platform capabilities.
- Enhance our approach to demos, proofs of concept, and onsite engagements.
- Create repeatable playbooks, delivery standards, and best practices to enable rapid scaling and efficiency.
Who You Are
- A seasoned technical leader with over 8 years in engineering, solutions engineering, or technical delivery, including at least 2 years in a leadership role managing high-performing technical teams.
- Dedicated to working alongside your team, reviewing designs, questioning assumptions, and stepping in during ambiguous or high-stakes situations.
- Highly experienced in leading customer-facing technical teams where success relies on credibility, clarity, and execution rather than scripts or handoffs.
- Fluent in both engineering and business contexts, capable of debating architecture with engineers while aligning outcomes with sales, product, and customer leaders.
- An excellent presenter and communicator who can adapt messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences.
