BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related STEM field OR a minimum of 5 years of professional leadership experience in a manufacturing setting. At least 3 years of experience in aerospace (airframe, launch vehicle, military) or high-volume manufacturing. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role. PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Hands-on experience in maintenance or manufacturing. Proficient knowledge of hydraulic systems, pneumatics, and mechanical theory.

MANAGER OF MACHINE MAINTENANCE (STARLINK PRODUCTION)

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified machine maintenance manager to oversee equipment reliability for Starlink's high-volume production lines in Bastrop, Texas. This role requires operating within a dynamic environment, contributing to the development of hardware that connects people worldwide to the internet. The successful candidate will lead a team in implementing a comprehensive maintenance system focused on maximizing equipment availability and production line uptime to enhance Starlink's output.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the team to achieve optimal machine availability, throughput, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement systems that track and execute maintenance tasks promptly with minimal impact on line uptime.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions for incidents, ensuring recurrence prevention with asset owners and engineers.
  • Oversee spare parts inventory for quick response to failures, justify capital expenditures for upgrades or new installations, and assist with refurbishments.
  • Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback on new layouts and equipment to ensure maintainability.
  • Mentor team members on preventing strategic downtime, effective troubleshooting across various systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, controls), and maintaining disciplined operations.
  • Ensure team workspaces are organized, efficient, and presentable.
  • Handle daily administrative and management tasks, including performance reviews, skill matrix and training, timecard approvals, recruiting, and maintenance KPI analysis.
