Arc'teryx Equipment Inc. is seeking a Manager, Risk and Controls to join its corporate team in North Vancouver, BC. This new role centers on identifying, assessing, and responding to risks that could influence business operations or the Arc'teryx brand. The position is primarily onsite, though hybrid or remote work may be considered for particularly strong applicants. All candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
Key responsibilities
- Lead company-wide efforts to identify, measure, and address risks, including policy abuse (both internal and external), control circumvention, and incidents that could impact transactions or reputation.
- Advise on risk-related challenges using knowledge of global business trends, from detailed transactional data to broader macroeconomic factors.
- Refine existing policies and introduce new tools or methods to support business growth while effectively managing risk.
- Collaborate with teams across Arc'teryx and with partners in North America, EMEA, and APAC to ensure risk strategies are communicated and adopted.
Team focus
The Risk and Controls team monitors key risks, develops mitigation strategies, and looks for ways to optimize internal controls. The team ensures compliance with requirements such as SOX and manages the entire risk mitigation process from assessment through ongoing monitoring. Both internal and external risk factors are considered in all activities.
