Proven experience in composite manufacturing, ideally within the marine, aerospace, or automotive sectors. Strong understanding of composite material properties, curing cycles, and process control, particularly in fiberglass. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and convert designs into practical manufacturing processes. Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related methodologies for process enhancement. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach to working in a manufacturing setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.

Job Overview

We are in search of a talented Manufacturing Engineer specializing in composites to drive the design, development, and enhancement of manufacturing processes for autonomous surface vessels. The ideal candidate will possess substantial hands-on experience in composites manufacturing, coupled with a strong dedication to fostering continuous improvement within a dynamic marine environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for composite materials (fiberglass).

  • Assist production teams in addressing process challenges, enhancing product quality, and minimizing waste.

  • Work closely with design and engineering teams to ensure the manufacturability of composite components and assemblies.

  • Generate and maintain comprehensive process documentation, work instructions, and quality assurance standards.

  • Apply lean manufacturing principles and process improvement strategies to boost operational efficiency.

  • Support the design, maintenance, and optimization of tooling for composite production.

  • Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations related to composite handling and processing.

  • Deliver training and technical support to production personnel on best practices in composite manufacturing.
