Role Overview:

  • Act as the principal manufacturing engineering authority on the radar production floor.
  • Oversee daily build execution, integration assistance, and yield enhancement.
  • Deliver hands-on technical leadership during assembly, integration, and testing operations.
  • Swiftly address build challenges, escapes, and throughput limitations.
  • Promote continuous improvement in radar subassembly and system-level integration.
  • Align engineering objectives with factory execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Production Floor Support
    • Provide direct support for radar assembly, integration, and testing operations.
    • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and RF integration challenges in real time.
    • Facilitate containment and corrective actions for build escapes and testing failures.
    • Collaborate with Quality, Design, and Mission Engineering to address nonconformances.
    • Assist in the development of rework and repair processes.
  • Yield & Performance Improvement
    • Examine RF test yields, environmental test outcomes, and integration failure patterns.
    • Identify recurring defects and systemic process vulnerabilities.
    • Lead root cause analysis initiatives (8D, RCCA).
    • Implement corrective and preventive action strategies (CAPA).
    • Drive quantifiable improvements in first-pass yield, cycle time, rework rates, and throughput.
  • Process Development & Optimization
    • Develop and enhance work instructions, assembly process flows, and best practices.
