- Execute essential manufacturing duties required for optimal performance in this role.
- Support Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) injection molding processes utilizing a BOY machine, along with thermoplastic injection molding processes on Illinois Precision Corporation (IPC) machinery. Additionally, assist in soldering cables to connectors.
- Design and enhance manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures to ensure adherence to daily production schedules while improving productivity and product quality.
- Evaluate production equipment, provide production support, and validate processes. Collaborate with vendors for incoming components and troubleshoot manufacturing processes and equipment using tools such as Gage R&R, Cp, Cpk, and SPC to enhance processes.
- Apply manufacturing methodologies like Value Stream Mapping, 5S, and Visual Workplace to boost quality, labor efficiency, and throughput.
- Draft and modify manufacturing process documentation and engage with cross-functional teams as necessary to develop and implement process improvements.
- Support company initiatives as directed by management, adhering to Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements, including compliance with U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations.
- Foster positive and cooperative communication and collaboration across all employee levels, customers, contractors, and vendors.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Equipment Utilization:
- Engage with a variety of production equipment, small hand tools, test equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
- Utilize standard office equipment including telephones, fax/copy machines, and personal computers with standard office software.
