Job Overview
We are looking for a Manufacturing Systems Engineering Technician who will play a vital role in our manufacturing operations. This position bridges the gap between Information Technology (IT) and production, ensuring the seamless functionality of essential systems such as Zebra printers, barcode scanners, production workstations, and various manufacturing applications. You will collaborate closely with IT, manufacturing, and operations teams to support daily production activities while driving ongoing enhancements in systems, processes, and overall uptime.
Responsibilities
Deliver both frontline and escalated support for manufacturing systems and operational technology, including Zebra printers (ZPL configuration and troubleshooting), barcode scanners, production-floor workstations, displays, shop-floor networking, and IoT devices.
Identify and resolve hardware, software, application, and network issues affecting production, acting swiftly to minimize downtime.
Serve as the primary responder for manufacturing system incidents, coordinating resolution efforts across functional teams as needed.
Assist with data-related tasks and production workflows, including basic query troubleshooting (SQL, Splunk; skills in Python are a plus).
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical support, IT/OT, or a comparable role.
Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues.
Outstanding communication and customer service skills, capable of articulating technical issues to non-technical users effectively.
A strong problem-solving mindset, keen attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with manufacturing systems (MES, PLCs, SCADA).
Experience with industrial label printers (Zebra, ZPL, BarTender, etc.).
