Genetec Inc. is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Systems Specialist to act as the primary technical liaison between our Research & Development engineers and our contract manufacturing partners. In this role, you will leverage your electronics expertise to equip our partners with the necessary technical tools and knowledge for high-precision production. You will serve as the technical architect for the manufacturing environment, defining the requirements for testing jigs and equipment, ensuring our partners have the technical capabilities to meet strict quality and performance standards. The ideal candidate is proactive, adept at problem-solving, and skilled at translating complex design intents into practical manufacturing realities.

Your Daily Responsibilities:

  • Provide frontline support for testing and test jigs, offering expert advice on product architecture and electronic troubleshooting.
  • Lead Design for Test (DFT) initiatives in close collaboration with R&D and manufacturing software teams to enhance product manufacturability.
  • Work alongside internal R&D and external specialized firms to oversee the design and manufacturing of testing equipment based on your technical contributions.
  • Manage the deployment and validation of new manufacturing tools at partner sites, ensuring compliance with specified requirements.
  • Coordinate the technical introduction of new products (NPI) into manufacturing, ensuring a seamless transition from design to mass production.
  • Oversee the design, manufacturing, and on-site validation of new manufacturing tools and testing equipment to ensure performance standard compliance.
  • Manage the equipment portfolio at contract manufacturing sites, including defining and supervising preventive maintenance specifications.
  • Assist in troubleshooting RMA issues through root cause analysis of hardware failures while maintaining detailed technical documentation.
  • Analyze production and testing data to provide actionable insights to manufacturers, enhancing yield and long-term reliability.
